Job Description

Bachelor's/Master's in Transportation Engineering /Civil Engineering with relevant courses in Transportation Engineering (16 Years of Education) with minimum 12
years of relevant experience.
OR
Master's/M.Phil. in Transportation Engineering /Civil Engineering with relevant courses in Transportation Engineering (18 Years of Education) with minimum 10 years of
relevant experience.

Registeration with PEC is mandatory and proven leadership in execution of large-scale public projects is mandatory.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide effective and inclusive leadership to the operational planning, research and development for the ongoing projects.
2. Ensure monitoring and evaluation of all systems for continual improvement. Reporting on transportation system performance and progress towards goals
3. Design and implement standardized operating procedures to streamline system operations and promote uniformity.
4. Plan and operate integrated public transport routes under Section 5(2)(n) of the Punjab Masstransit Authority Act, 2015. Manage optimal transportation solutions, such as route
optimization and network planning
5. Lead development and execution of comprehensive day to day operations plans aligned with the company’s overall vision and goals and contributing in the minimization of
subsidy of the project. Issue Operational Schedules to the operators and ensure strict adherence.
6. Lead detailed analysis of the travel data statistics and suggestion for improvements in the system
7. Ensure that the transport models of cities are prepared, updated, and maintained in a quality and timely manner.
8. Lead software tools to model traffic flow, transportation networks, and travel behavior.
9. Developing and implementing R&D strategies to address transportation challenges and ensure continual improvement in the system. Identifying areas for innovation and improvement in transportation systems
10. Lead identification and carrying out of technical and feasibility studies
11. To determine and enforce Traffic Signal Timings under the ITS.
12. Provide Operational Reports to MD, Board members as per the Business Procedures on as required basis;
13. Ensures effective communications with the MD PMA, and other members of the senior management team and all Divisional staff. Provide assistance to MD PMA in relevant
affairs.
14. Perform any other duty as assigned by the senior management related to PMA’s mandateJob Description
